The Semantic Web, Web 2.0 applications, and other research areas
under the general heading of web intelligence all aim to move beyond
the current capabilities of the web as a searchable information
repository to a new generation of more dynamic, adaptive and
interactive applications. These will enable people and machines to
process, share and interpret Web content.
Traditional bivalent-logic methods are not suited to the often ill-
structured, uncertain and
imprecise information, frequently encountered in human knowledge and
concepts.
This task force promotes research into the application of
Computational Intelligence to the next generation web, by technical
sponsorship of workshops, symposia and conferences, by organisation /
support for special issues of journals, and by a variety of other
methods.
